I've known Christina now for about 5 years...we met while working together at a Starbucks in Concord, California. The first thing you notice about Christina is that she's beautiful, and that she has a smile that just lights up the place. And when you get to know her better, you'll discover she's so incredibly kind, hilariously goofy, and well, a little bit ....*loud*! I just love her and I'm so happy that on the 2nd of August, after a long engagement, she was married to her Richie.

The image above was captured by my husband, Paul. He did a magnificent job as my second shooter on this event :o)

He is her best friend. She is his. It's plain to see.

Rich & Christina....thank you, thank you, thank you! Paul and I were honored that you allowed us to join you on your wedding day. We celebrate you and the love you have for each other. Many thanks to your families for making us feel like part of the family while we were there with you. May you be very blessed in your marriage.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a beautiful Saturday morning in the park with little Eliana and her family. It had been 6 months since I'd seen her, and my how she's grown! We spent the early part of our session hanging out with her Daddy and Mommy and all of her Grandparents in Sims Lake Park. Here's a peek....

I love maternity sessions. One of the things I love most about them is that I'm able to get extremely creative with lighting...but most of all I love that I'll get to meet a sweet new baby soon.

Heather came to me a few weeks ago to capture some images of her last pregnancy. She and her husband already have a beautiful son and daughter, and they'll be welcoming a new little bundle soon.

Thank you so much for letting me photograph you, Heather. I think you look amazing and I really hope you enjoy your photos!

So, I've been wanting to try a boudoir session for awhile now. This opportunity came my way when a good friend of my next-door neighbor came into town to celebrate a bachelorette party. She wanted to do a session, so we decided to give it a whirl.

On a recent Sunday afternoon we headed to one of my favorite Atlanta boutique hotels - The Artmore. The suite was stunning, Niki was so relaxed and fun, and I just love how these turned out!

the day after.....{a.k.a. "trash the dress"}

I had the opportunity to do a trash the dress shootout/workshop with a great group of fellow photog's yesterday. The event was organized by Chris & Allie Bartelski of The Reason. Chris and Allie are admins for the Facebook group Atlanta Photog Meetups...you can visit the FB page to view out some amazing images taken by others in the group. The images below were captured at Old Atlanta Prison Farm in southeast Atlanta. Most of the buildings there recently burned in a fire, but a few prison cells and some of the structure remain. The battered old concrete walls, colorful graffiti, & rusty old pipes really provide that grungy feeling I love to incorporate into my work so much.

*Many thanks to models Michele, Chad, & Angela (who, by the way, had to be FREEZING in the 33 degree weather, but never complained once)! And big thanks to Chris & Allie for putting it all together.

Angels Over Forsyth

I recently had the pleasure of snapping this photograph for a local newspaper article and wanted to share the story with you. Real Estate Broker Rob Scanlon and his team of Coldwell Banker agents helped raise $2500 over the holidays for Angels Over Forsyth, a charity that provides winter clothing and Christmas toys for children in foster care throughout Georgia. In Forsyth County, Court Appointed Special Advocates volunteers helped 160 children find safe, permanent homes last year. The program is always seeking new volunteers in its effort to provide a voice to every abused and neglected child. I'm finally getting with the program and entering into the “blogosphere.” I’ve always been into journaling, and since it seems I can never quite find the time to keep the Innovative Images website completely up-to-date, a blog seems to be just the solution! I can’t think of a better way to keep in touch with my clients, to give sneak peeks, let you know all the latest studio news and details of exciting upcoming events. And, what better time to start a new adventure than at the beginning of a brand new year?

Many changes are in the works for me as we head into ’09. New equipment, including new studio lighting and editing software have me raring to go! So, stay tuned over the next few months… and feel free to check in often to see what the latest is with Innovative Images or if you want to peek into my life a little bit.
